ACE
installed 3 vintage Cinerama projectors in 1999.
The
following pictures show installation and testing from
November 1 through final testing and press screening
November 11.

Installation
involved conversion from the standard presentation screen
to the 32 foot high by 91 feet wide, deep curve Cinerama
screen. This process took the stage crew about 11 hours.

These
pictures were taken during the press screening, featuring
restored test footage of Cinerama film. The three panel
images are 32’ high and 91’ wide.
The images are from restored footage of the 1963 classic,
“ How The West Was Won”. Above are Carl Malden and Agnes
Moorhead, waiting to board a ferry on the Erie Canal.
